Inspiring artist of the day – Ghika & Craxton

So picking up the theme of inspiring artists – I still have quite a few to add to my vast and ever growing list – here are two I knew nothing about until my recent trip to the British Museum to see the Rodin Exhibition, which was fantastic, but Rodin is not a new artist to me ...Ghika and Craxton are.

The 'Charmed lives in Greece' exhibition is about the friendship of Ghika, Craxton and Leigh Fermor and is on until the 15th of July 2018 - so get on over there quick!

I had heard of Leigh Fermor the author, but of Ghika and Craxton I was oblivious!

I feel this was a major oversight as walking into the exhibition I was hit with a patchwork of light and colour. Ghika and Craxton's paintings are astounding, full of their Friendship

– it's seems so very obvious they were great friends and talked about their work –

and their love for life and for Greece.
