Following a train of thought here - my last blog was about Paula Rego and her dancing ostriches ...she has also drawn angels and Anita Klein has too, and like Rego she illustrates life, although not in the same raw fashion.
Klein's angels are the angels of everyday, beautiful, kind and beneficent ...you feel at home with them.
There's a huge divide between Rego and Klein's work, they've chosen similar subject matter yet their work speaks to different worlds. Rego's work is bought by Museums, exhibited at the Tate and generally beyond the price range of you and I, Klein's work is in thousands maybe millions of peoples homes.
You may have bought a card and sent it to a friend - I know I have - you might even have bought a print or painting direct from her.
