I first saw Jenny's work in Ruthin craft centre and it was love at first sight, whenever we visited I'd make a bee line for the shop, and for the ceramics section to see the what she'd been up to.
Last year I found her feed on Instagram, which I watch avidly, just waiting for the next creation to come into view. Everything from bees and trees, to naked wee men offering bowls of fruit, or posing with a seashell.
It's the honest craftsmanship, the way they tell a story and start a conversation with the viewer, the nods to Nicholas Hilliard and Henry Moore, 60's knitting patterns with their audaciously posed models and the inherent humour of the moment. I always get the feeling that Jenny's fictional sitters are on the verge of raising an eyebrow, or bursting into peels of laughter. They make me smile and that's why I love them.
